What Is LineageOS?
Before you flash the ROM it’s kinda natural that you wanna know more about the ROM that you’re flashing So here’s a quick little summary of the new ROM development group Lineage OS.
Okay, If you’re in the Android community for a while there’s a high chance that you might’ve heard of this ROM development group before named “CyanogenMod”. If you don’t know, “CyanogenMod” was famous for making some of the best Custom ROM’s for android. Period,
But just a few months ago Cyanogen INC. the company that provided source codes to CyanogenMod community, was forced to shut down its doors which caused the whole CyanogenMod community to go down as well.
You can actually read the full article about this that I did back then here –>
After a week of being closed down some members of the Scattered CyanogenMod community grouped up and created the new ROM Development group “Lineage OS” claiming to be the next successor of the CyanogenMod ROMs.
Anyways, I think that should be enough for a quick intro you can always learn more about the group through their Wikipedia page
